Brussels, 10th of October 2023- Europe’s leading All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) manufacturers unite to launch a revamped, free and interactive training tool giving new and seasoned riders key information to use ATVs safely.
ATVs are extremely useful for farmers and other outdoor workers because of their versatility over rough terrain. They can also be a lot of fun for adventures in the outdoors.
If they’re not ridden responsibly or with the proper equipment, serious injuries can occur. To avoid this, key golden safety rules must be followed. The new e-training guides users through nine golden rules, explaining the risks involved, how to prepare, and practical tips for riding.
“We want riders to be able to use our vehicles to their full potential without undue risk,” said Ton van Geenhuizen, Division Manager Recreational Vehicles & Power Products at Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. and chair of ATVEA’s Education and Communication Committee. “That’s why we have come together as an industry to launch this new e-training. We are making it free and easy to use for new and experienced riders when they buy an ATV, business owners who need to upskill their workers and centres that rent out ATVs. Together we will help users get the most out of their vehicles in the most responsible way.”
ATVEA members Arctic Cat, BRP, CFMOTO, Honda, Kawasaki, KYMCO, Polaris and Yamaha are all committed to responsible use of their ATVs and have jointly invested in this new free training. It is also endorsed by several national associations across Europe.
With a market that is growing year on year, the training is available in four languages to be accessible to as many riders as possible: English, German, French and Swedish.
The training includes instructional videos, quizzes, and interactive elements to enhance the learning experience, reinforcing crucial safety guidelines. It takes less than 30 minutes to complete and is accessible on PCs and mobile devices.
After successfully completing of the course, the participant receives a downloadable certificate confirming they have taken the training and successfully understood the key points.
